Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 6+ years in Java enterprise software development.
• 5+ years in Java with memory and performance tuning (lambdas, generics, maps/lists/sets).
• 5+ years with the Spring Framework.
• 5+ years applying design patterns and algorithms for high-throughput systems.
• 4+ years of concurrent programming (Actor Model, CompletableFuture, thread pools).
• 4+ years with Hibernate/JPA and query performance optimization.
• 4+ years with MySQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and NoSQL like Cassandra or MongoDB.
• 2+ years ensuring software development compliance.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional teams or mentoring engineers in fintech.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and optimize cloud-native payment processing and ledger infrastructure that supports banks and innovative financial technology companies worldwide. You will combine deep Java expertise with advanced performance engineering to build reliable, secure, and high-throughput transaction systems. In this role, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to product launches and operational stability. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering decisions with business and regulatory needs. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, test, analyze, and review code to ensure accuracy, functionality, performance, and security.
• Drive the software development lifecycle, including defining sprint goals, maintaining operational stability, and leading product launches.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor fellow engineers, and help strengthen the team's technical capabilities.
• Communicate technical strategies, architectural decisions, and proposed solutions to executives, cross-functional teams, and clients.
• Collaborate with product managers, software architects, and other stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Document architectural designs, create developer guides, and facilitate effective knowledge transfer through clear, comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive Java enterprise development experience, strong technical problem-solving skills, and a track record of guiding engineers in a fintech environment. Required qualifications include:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or a foreign equivalent.
• At least 7 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• At least 6 years of experience in Java enterprise software development.
• At least 5 years of experience with Java and JVM memory and performance tuning, including strong knowledge of lambdas, generics, and data structures such as maps, lists, and sets.
• At least 5 years of experience with the Spring Framework or an equivalent framework.
• At least 5 years of experience applying common software design patterns and advanced algorithm design for high-throughput systems.
• At least 4 years of experience with concurrent programming techniques, such as the Actor Model, Java CompletableFuture, and thread-pool executors, particularly for real-time transaction systems.
• At least 4 years of experience with Hibernate or equivalent JPA frameworks, including query performance optimization.
• At least 4 years of experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server, as well as NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
• At least 2 years of experience ensuring software development compliance.
• At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams or mentoring engineers in a fintech environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $167,149 to $190,000.
