Job summary

LABUR is partnering with a client to hire a Senior Software Engineer who will deliver high-quality, customer-facing experiences using modern, low-latency technologies. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to drive data tech integration and set new standards for user experience and performance.

You will work with APIs, real-time data processing, and scalable architectures to ensure reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git/GitHub, and Jira.
• Full-stack proficiency with C# or Java backend and React frontend.
• Experience in Financial Services product is a plus.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software on time with accurate estimates and own changes through production with appropriate monitoring.
• Integrate internal and external APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across distributed systems.
• Provide quality code review feedback to prevent production issues and support team growth.
• Collaborate with Product to define requirements, review technical specifications, and drive actionable tasks from the team backlog.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Maintain healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability.

Overview

LABUR is partnering with a client to find a Senior Software Engineer who will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, customer-facing experiences using modern, low-latency technologies. This role collaborates closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to drive seamless integration of data technologies into the platform, establishing new standards for user experience and application performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software on time with accurate estimates and own changes through production with appropriate monitoring
• Integrate internal and external APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across distributed systems
• Provide quality code review feedback to prevent production issues and support team growth
• Collaborate with Product to define requirements, review technical specifications, and drive actionable tasks from the team backlog
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Maintain healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong full-stack engineering proficiency in C#, Java, or an equivalent compiled object-oriented language on the back end and React on the front end
• Experience in the Financial Services industry, ideally on a customer-facing product
• Demonstrated expertise with CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, version control systems such as Git and GitHub, and Agile tools like JIRA
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka and DAPR
• Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL or RDS, distributed caching strategies with Redis, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with containerized microservices using Kubernetes, large language models and agentic workflows, or Event Sourcing frameworks such as Marten is a plus

Compensation

$168,000-$200,000 Dependent on fit/experience
