Job summary

Senior Software Engineer | FinTech | NYC

Location: New York City, 4 days onsite

I’m working with a fast-growing FinTech company in NYC looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its core product engineering team.

This is a role for someone who wants real ownership. You’ll be expected to take products and features from 0→1, make key technical decisions and ship software that customers actually use.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning new products and features from idea through production
• Designing and building scalable backend and full-stack systems
• Working closely with product, design and leadership
• Making technical and architectural decisions with long-term impact
• Building reliable systems around complex financial workflows and data
• Shipping quickly, getting customer feedback and iterating
• Helping establish engineering standards as the team continues to scale
• Mentoring other engineers while remaining highly hands-on

What we’re looking for:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Proven experience shipping 0→1 products into production
• Experience working at a startup or high-growth technology company
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity, autonomy and high ownership
• Strong experience building scalable production software
• Excellent system design and architecture skills
• Computer Science or related technical degree from a top rated university
• Someone who still wants to write code and build, rather than move away from hands-on engineering
