Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 20+ years software development experience.
• Experienced with hardware/software integration, infrastructure provisioning, Ansible, Kubernetes, cloud tech, Rancher, and CaaS.
• Proficient in Go, with production services; frontend work with TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Solid Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps (ArgoCD) experience; event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Hands-on with Docker and orchestration (RKE2 or similar); strong RESTful APIs and microservices design.
• Familiar with SQL databases in containerized environments; strong debugging and communication skills.

Job description

Que Technology Group, Inc., is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to take ownership of a Kubernetes-native application that orchestrates and deploys workloads within the cluster it runs in. This role advances a platform that brings together a modern web-based UI/UX, containerized microservices, and cloud-native components. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Go, TypeScript, Python, and Kubernetes, and is comfortable working with containerization, orchestration, and event-driven systems.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Own the design, development, and continued advancement of a Kubernetes-native application that orchestrates and deploys workloads within its host cluster
• Develop and maintain production backend services in Go, along with supporting components in Python
• Build and enhance web-based frontends using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Design and implement containerized microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven components
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD)
• Support hardware and software integration, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management with Ansible
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure operational excellence
• Maintain and improve documentation while adhering to internal development standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least twenty (20) years of software development experience, with a strong focus on backend and cloud-native applications.
• An additional four (4) years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree.
• Experience with hardware and software integration, infrastructure, provisioning, Ansible configuration management, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, Rancher, and Containers as a Service (CaaS).
• Proficiency in Go (Golang), with practical experience developing production services.
• Experience building frontends using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka.
• Hands‑on experience with container technologies such as Docker, and orchestration via RKE2 or similar.
• Strong understanding of system design, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and their integration in containerized environments.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Bamboo, Fisheye).
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows.
• Linux or UNIX administration and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of SIGINT systems and dataflows.
• Experience with Kafka, NiFi, MetalLB, and MinIO in production environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation using cloud-init or Terraform.
• Background in observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Experience with the Rancher Suite (Harvester, Longhorn, KubeVirt).
• Prior work with AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS) or other cloud platforms.
• Ability to perform well in a team environment.

Security Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
