Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Technology Engineer to join our Broker Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack technologies such as Java, Kafka, building APIs, and deployment pipelines.

This role is responsible for developing and supporting technology solutions to advance the Broker and Sales business domains by solving complex problems. The IT Engineer IV will work with a team of developers and interact closely with business subject matter experts to design and build solutions that help Medica sell their products.

This team focuses on building solutions to support Medica's Broker and Sales teams, including broker data management, broker tracking solutions, and integrations with applications like Salesforce.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Define, analyze, and review business, system, and technical requirements; prioritize tasks
• Write clean, testable code using Java, Kafka, APIs, and cloud interfaces such as Salesforce
• Utilize Azure DevOps, GIT, and deployment pipelines
• Document physical designs and relevant documentation for easier maintenance
• Implement monitoring solutions and logging practices
• Follow industry standards and best practices, including automated testing, code reuse, object-oriented design, and emerging AI solutions
• Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, participate in paired programming, and collaborate with QA for testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms, application building, source control, and deployment
• Familiarity with MuleSoft
• Experience in Java, Kafka, and API development
• Built Salesforce interfaces and related applications
• Strong SQL skills for Oracle or SQL Server
• Knowledge of agile development practices
• Troubleshooting, production support, and good communication skills

This position requires onsite presence at one of the specified office locations in Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI, with an onsite frequency of up to 2-3 days per week based on business needs.

The salary range is $98,400 to $168,600, depending on various factors. The total rewards package includes competitive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, 401K, and more.
