Litera, based in Denver, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape architecture, drive AI-powered product development, and lead teams delivering scalable SaaS for legal professionals.

You'll mentor engineers, set technical direction, and partner with product and design to align execution with business goals. Hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration in Denver at least 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of software engineering experience in production-scale SaaS products.
• Strong full-stack skills with Node.js, React, .NET/C#, and TypeScript.
• Experience leading architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and scalable design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in fast-paced environments with an AI-first mindset.

If you need accommodations at any point in the process or in the role, we’re here to support you.What You’ll BringMust-Haves :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.5–7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering complex, production-scale applications and SaaS products.Strong expertise developing full-stack applications, APIs, and cloud-based solutions using modern technologies such as Node.js, React, .NET/C#, TypeScript, and related frameworks.Experience providing technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, and mentoring developers.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and scalable system design.Strong communication , collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with an AI-first mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive results in fast-paced environments.Nice to Haves:Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and other modern application design patterns.Experience integrating AI, GenAI, or machine learning capabilities into software products or engineering workflows.Familiarity with legal technology, professional services software, data analytics platforms, or other complex B2B SaaS environments.Experience leading distributed teams, operating high-availability cloud applications, implementing secure development practices, or driving software quality through observability and test automation tools.We know great candidates don’t always check every box. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
