Searchability Aerospace & Defense seeks software engineers to build mission-critical capabilities for direct U.S. Government customers, including NSA. You will work with government users and stakeholders, with autonomy and visibility across the full software lifecycle.
You will design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance systems in Linux/UNIX environments, translating mission requirements into scalable solutions. Onsite in Hanover, MD, U.S.
A specialist systems and security engineering organization is seeking software engineers to build mission-critical capabilities for direct U.S. Government customers, including the NSA.
This is an opportunity to use the full value of an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph while working directly alongside government users and technical stakeholders. Engineers are trusted with genuine autonomy, technical authority, and visibility across the mission rather than being limited to narrowly defined development tasks.
You will have the freedom to influence architecture, select technical approaches, solve complex engineering problems, and take ownership from initial requirements through deployment and operational support. The environment suits engineers who want their judgement to carry weight and their work to have a clear, measurable mission impact.
Software engineers in this role design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain complex software systems supporting national security missions.
Engineers work directly with government customers, users, software engineers, and systems engineers to understand operational requirements and turn them into practical technical solutions. You will have authority over key engineering decisions, contribute to system architecture and technical roadmaps, and own solutions throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Additional responsibilities include developing high-performance software, processing large datasets, integrating system components, producing technical documentation, participating in peer reviews, supporting automated testing and deployment, and resolving change requests or defects within operational systems.
