Job summary

Catalyst Operations & Analytics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of complex software systems aligned to customer requirements. You will own significant portions of the SDLC—from requirements analysis and design through coding, integration, and testing—within Agile teams.

You will apply sound engineering judgment to resolve technical problems, evaluate design trade-offs, and ensure performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7-11 years of relevant professional software engineering experience (Master's degree and 5-9 years also acceptable)
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C/C++, JavaScript)
• Demonstrated experience across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, testing, and deployment
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development teams and ceremonies
• Experience with version control and configuration management tools
• Experience developing on Windows and/or Linux
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate software architecture and technical trade-offs
• Strong technical writing and oral communication, including presenting to customers
• Senior positions review and guide Junior and Mid-Level engineers

Senior Software Engineers take ownership of significant portions of the software development lifecycle — from requirements analysis and design through coding, integration, and testing — while operating within Agile development teams. Senior Software Engineers apply sound engineering judgment to resolve difficult technical problems, evaluate design trade-offs, and help ensure delivered systems meet performance, security, and reliability standards. Senior Software Engineers are expected to review the work of less experienced engineers and provide technical mentorship

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 7-11 years of relevant professional software engineering experience (Master's degree and 5-9 years also acceptable); additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
