Job summary

TeamViewer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Austin, TX to contribute to our Digital Workplace solutions using C#, .NET, TypeScript, and React. You will join a Scrum team and help shape scalable server and client applications with modern tooling.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in object-oriented software development using C# and .NET is mandatory.
• Proven background in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid knowledge of React, Redux, Webpack, etc.
• Experience in making architectural decisions about large-scale distributed systems.
• Desirable: parallel programming, distributed and scalable systems, SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of Clean Code and Design Patterns for OO programming.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality for high-scaling server and client-side applications using C# and JavaScript (React, Redux, TypeScript).
• Optimize and enhance software using efficient algorithms and technologies.
• Design and implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks.
• Work in a Scrum development team within a continuous integration environment.
• Ensure high-quality code and responsible for implementation quality.
• Continuously integrate, build and deploy the solution from test system to production.
• Recommend improvements to architecture/technologies for reliability and performance.
• Monitor latest technical developments and initiate improvements.
• Advise product owner on feasibility studies and time estimates for new functionality.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to actively contribute to the development of our solutions and applications using modern technologies such as C#, JavaScript, and React. The position will report to the Team Lead Software Engineering and provides an excellent opportunity to create impact and add value in an agile, modern environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality for our high scaling server and client-side applications using C# and JavaScript (React, Redux, TypeScript)
• Optimize and enhance our software using new efficient algorithms and technologies
• Design and implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks
• Work collaboratively in a Scrum development team within a continuous integration environment
• Be responsible for ensuring efficient implementation and for code of the highest quality
• Continuously integrate, build and deploy our solution from test system to production
• Recommend and implement improvements to architecture/technologies to further enhance our systems and codebase regarding reliability, maintainability, scalability and performance
• Monitor the latest technical developments in your field and initiate improvements
• Act as an advisor towards product owner (feasibility studies and time estimates for new functionality to be implemented)

Requirements

• Solid knowledge frameworks like React, Redux, Webpack, etc.
• Experience in taking architectural decisions about the development and maintenance of large-scale distributed systems and integrations with applications and user interfaces
• Experience in any of the following fields would be desirable: parallel programming distributed and scalable systems, security and SQL or NoSQL databases
• Understanding of Clean Code and Design Patterns for object-oriented programming
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
