Humana is seeking a skilled full-stack software engineer to design, build, and modernize platforms across Medicaid tech environments. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and security while advancing automation and modern engineering practices.

The candidate will mentor engineers and collaborate with architecture, leadership, and platform teams to reduce technical debt and set technical direction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
At least five years of experience designing, developing, testing software applications and/or infrastructure.
Hands-on with .NET, SQL Server, Windows-based services and cloud solutions; Azure preferred.

Job description

Design, build, and modernize full-stack applications and platforms across Wisconsin Medicaid’s two health plan technology environments, improving reliability, scalability, security, and operational supportability. Set technical direction, reduce technical debt, promote automation and modern engineering practices, and mentor engineers while collaborating with architecture, leadership, and platform teams.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least five years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure are required. Candidates need hands‑on experience with .NET, SQL Server, and Windows‑based services, plus cloud solution experience; Azure is preferred, while Docker/Kubernetes, healthcare technology, and React experience are preferred.
