Job summary

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (C++/Python) to support the U.S. Air Force DMOC at Kirtland AFB.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical software and backend services in a DoD setting, with Linux and Windows, CI/CD, and secure development practices. This on-site role requires U.S. citizenship, an active DoD Secret clearance, and a strong track record in high-assurance software.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance — required.
• U.S. Citizenship — required.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in CS/SE/IT or related field; equivalent qualifying certifications may be considered.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python.
• Support applications in Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop backend services, web applications, and SQL database functionality.
• Build automation using Bash and maintain Git/GitLab repositories.
• Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot software issues and implement improvements.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB.

You’ll design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain mission‑critical software and backend services while supporting web applications, automation, CI/CD, and secure software development in a DoD environment.
