Job summary

The Tyndale Company is seeking a Software Development Manager to guide the design and implementation of the company's IT systems. The role emphasizes coaching the development team and contractors to build enterprise applications that meet SLAs and support day-to-day operations.

The position is HYBRID/REMOTE with onsite work a minimum of 2 days per week and 3 days remotely. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Houston, TX location, with other consideration for PA as well.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years in software development or software engineering.
• Minimum 2 years leading or managing software developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software developers and contractors; conduct regular one-on-ones and provide feedback.
• Manage team capacity, priorities, and day-to-day execution; assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Lead or support Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning.
