Job summary

Cleared Solutions Inc. is seeking a Java Software Developer with AWS for Chantilly/Reston, VA. You will lead a fast-paced, full-stack development team on mission-critical software and web applications, employing agile practices and cloud-based infrastructure.

The role requires 7+ years of software experience (≥3 in IC) with a TS/SCI clearance, a related degree, and AWS certifications. You will design, implement, and secure complex systems and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Degree: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related field
• Certifications: One or more AWS certifications desired
• Experience: Minimum 7 years (≥3 in IC) developing, securing, integrating, deploying, maintaining software and systems

Responsibilities

• Lead architecting, building, maintaining, deploying and administering mission software and web applications.
• Identify system scope, objectives, requirements and specifications for system, data and interfaces.
• Design, code, test and debug single-threaded or UI event driven applications.
• Perform QA reviews and contribute to security authorization documentation.
• Document software requirements, design, flowcharts and diagrams; present in design reviews and demos.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with project teams.

Description

Candidate will lead a diverse client project team responsible for architecting, building, maintaining, deploying, and/or administering mission software and web applications. The development environment is fast-paced, spans the full application stack, and increasingly leverages agile development methodologies, modern development tools and processes, and an expanding cloud-based infrastructure. Responsibilities include: identify system scope, objectives, requirements, and specifications for the system, data, and interfaces; design, code, test, and debug single-threaded or user interface event driven applications; perform quality assurance reviews; contribute to development of security authorization documentation; document software requirements, functional design, flowcharts, and diagrams; represent program in design reviews and demonstrations; and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• Degree: Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely-related Engineering or IT discipline
• Certifications: One or more AWS certifications desired
• Experience: Minimum 7 years (at least 3 years in the IC) developing, securing, integrating, deploying, maintaining, and evaluating software and systems

• Full application stack systems analysis and software/application development life cycle based on modern agile development practices
• Object-oriented programming development concepts and design patterns, to include security, rules infrastructure, custom adapter implementations, and application interfaces
