Job summary

King County Department of Judicial Administration is seeking a Senior Software Developer (IT Engineer - Senior) to join our Technology Services Division. We develop user interfaces and business processes for complex, distributed systems serving the King County Superior Court and the public.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CS or related field, 5+ years in large-scale software development, strong HTML/JS/CSS, REST/ASP.NET Web API experience, and a proven ability to collaborate across teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Advanced knowledge of information systems, processes, techniques and computer technology principles.
5+ years in software development on large and complex systems.
Proficient in HTML/JavaScript/CSS for web development.
Experience with REST/ASP.NET Web API and n-tier architectures.
Experience with databases and data analytics.
Strong analytical and strategic skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and support applications for highly complex systems.
Evaluate applications for efficiency, security, and data quality.
Redesign and replace sub-systems as needed.
Troubleshoot failures and implement fixes.
Participate in the software development lifecycle from conception to maintenance.
Collaborate with developers, testers, engineers, and DBAs.
Provide off-hour support for critical systems.
