Job summary

Los Angeles Superior Court is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing team of developers, translating business needs into cutting-edge .NET applications while upholding governance and best practices.

You will guide resource planning, performance management, and stakeholder engagement to drive innovation and reliable software delivery. Telework eligibility is available after training, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across divisions within the Court.

Qualifications

Minimum 9+ years in software development with 2+ years in leadership/management.
Associates degree plus 7+ years of software development with 2+ years managing a team.
Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of software development with 2+ years in leadership.
Master’s degree plus 3+ years of software development with 2+ years in leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead assigned teams directly or via supervisors, aligning work with policies and standards.
Hire, mentor, train staff; oversee performance, coaching, and evaluations.
Foster cross-functional communication across teams and leadership.
Oversee application and integration solution development to meet business needs.
Evaluate and refine build and release processes for efficiency.
Coordinate with development, operations, QA, and security teams.
Provide technical guidance to optimize performance, scalability, and operability.
Develop automation solutions for deployment and continuous improvement.
Define lifecycle management practices aligned with industry best practices.
Manage stakeholder and vendor relations and oversee contractual obligations.
