Progressive is seeking a senior software developer - Node/React for Level20, in a hybrid role based in downtown Cleveland, OH. You’ll contribute to front-end and back-end development for fintech projects and work with cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

You’ll collaborate with the technical lead and partners to deliver adaptable solutions, in a fast-paced environment that mirrors Progressive's culture and Level20's mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT or related field with minimum four years of software design and development experience.
• In lieu of degree, a minimum of six years related work experience may be accepted.
• Experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.

As a senior software developer - Node/React at Level20, you’ll contribute to the development of innovative technology solutions, with a focus on financial technology projects. In this role, you’ll work on front-end and back-end development, cloud-native application architecture, and DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and automation. You’ll also collaborate with the technical lead, architects, and technical and business partners to ensure the solution is adaptable to evolving needs. You’ll work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment that aligns with Progressive's culture and Level20's innovative mindset.

This is a hybrid role in downtown Cleveland, OH (Office Location: 800 W St Clair Ave STE 200, Cleveland, OH 44113) with free parking. Work-from-home days are possible for this position (Monday and Friday).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum four years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
• In lieu of the above, a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing cloud-native applications using React, Next js TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
• Proficiency with AWS services, Docker, and modern application architecture patterns
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code
• Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, logging, monitoring, and scalable development practices

Compensation

• $118,000-$132,000/year depending on experience
• Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
