Job summary

Common App is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our mission-driven team. You will design and develop web and mobile software using .NET, Angular, and AWS, collaborating in an Agile environment.

The role includes production support, architecture input, and mentoring other developers, with travel for in-person events as needed. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience, strong security knowledge, and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in software development.
• Proficient in Angular.js 2+, Typescript, .NET Core 2.0+, C#, Visual Studio IDE, ORM, HTML5, and CSS3, Web API.
• Proficient in managing state in Angular 2+ Applications.
• Proficient in SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Familiar with GitHub and code review processes.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web-based and mobile software products for Common App.
• Collaborate on software architecture and implement high-quality software.
• Develop components using .NET technologies in AWS and Agile environments.
• Assist in production system management to support end-user experience.
• Mentor other software developers and contribute to code reviews and standards.
