Job Opportunity: Senior Software Developer at Nationwide IT Services (NIS)

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team. The role involves technical leadership, software design, development, and collaboration within an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership & Guidance: Lead the design and architecture of software solutions, making key technology decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
2. Code Quality & Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices within the team.
3. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges, debug critical issues, and act as a point of escalation for difficult problems.
4. Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability.
5. Software Development & Delivery: Engage in full-stack development, including front-end, back-end, database design, and API development.
6. Deployment & Maintenance: Support deployment processes, troubleshoot live environment issues, and implement fixes.
7. Agile Methodologies: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives within Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
8. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, designers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, SQL, .NET, or IBM Z/OS mainframe.
2. Deep understanding of the SDLC phases and methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
3. Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
4. Experience with software architecture and design patterns, including microservices and MVC.
5. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 20+ years of experience.
