Job summary

Radiance Technologies seeks a Senior Software & Systems Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of geospatial evaluation software for NGA-related IV&V. You will architect scalable pipelines, build a modern UI toolbox, and deploy secure software across NGA networks.

You will translate manual evaluation into an automated enterprise system, integrating GEOINT data sources, ensuring data quality, and maintaining SWAP compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering and systems architecture experience.
• Experience with GEOINT products and geospatial libraries.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java and ETL/data ingestion pipelines.
• Experience building modern web apps (React, Vue, or Angular).
• DevSecOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and secure AWS/C2S environments.

Radiance isseeking a Senior Software & Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment ofGeospatial evaluation software. This initiative aims to build a scalable, repeatable, and trustworthy Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) framework for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) commercial and R&D GEOINT products (including imagery, geospatial data, 3D GEOINT, and mapping products).

In this role, you will transition manual, large-scale evaluation efforts into an automated, centralized enterprise system. You will design data pipelines, build a modern front-end visualization toolbox, and deploy secure software across NGA’s unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI networks.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural design of theGeoSUREsystem, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and compliance with DoD/IC standards.

• Pipeline Development: Build and optimize robust, automated pipelines for:

• GEOINT Data Ingestion: Integrating diverse data sources such asGRiD, NCL, and GEGD.

• IV&V Metrics Ingest: Creating a unified pipeline to ingest, validate, and assess data quality, accuracy, and integrity.

• Data Outputs & Storage: Designing secure, efficient storage architectures optimized for metadata tagging, fast retrieval, and long-term archival.

• UI & Toolbox Development: Develop the GeoSUREToolbox, an intuitive, user‑centric front‑end interface featuring modern visualization tools, 3D/4D rendering, and advanced geospatial/temporal analysis capabilities.

• SecureDevSecOpsDeployment: Establish automated scripts and configuration processes to deploy theGeoSUREbaseline and its enhancements to NGA’s Research Lab Environment (RLE) and Common Operations Release Environment (CORE).

• Security Compliance: Ensure all software packages adhere to Software Assurance and Protection (SWAP) requirements, including rigorous code scanning, vulnerability mitigation, and obtaining authorization to operate (ATO) on IC networks.

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

• Experience: 7+ years of professional software engineering and systems architecture experience, preferably supporting NGA or the broader Intelligence Community (IC).

• Geospatial Expertise: Proven experience working with GEOINT products (imagery, vector data, 3D tiles, or mapping products) and geospatial libraries (e.g., GDAL, PDAL, Leaflet, Cesium, or Esri APIs).

• Backend & Pipeline Engineering: Strong proficiency in languages like Python, Go, or Java, with experience building ETL/data ingestion pipelines and integrating with enterprise databases.

• Front-End Development: Experience building modern, interactive web applications (React, Vue, or Angular) to support data visualization and user workflows.

• DevSecOps& Cloud: Hands‑on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deploying software within secure AWS/C2S cloud environments.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with NGA systems and data repositories (GRiD, NSG Consolidated Library (NCL), or Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (GEGD))

• CI Poly

• Familiarity with NGA’s Common Operations Release Environment (CORE) and RLE deployment frameworks.

• Experience navigating the SWAP (Software Assurance and Protection) approval process and IC security compliance.

• Experience with advanced geospatial analysis, 3D/4D data rendering, or time-series analysis.
