Job summary

Radiance Technologies seeks a Senior Software & Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of Geospatial evaluation software for NGA IV&V frameworks across DoD ecosystems.

You will transition manual, large-scale evaluation efforts into an automated enterprise system, designing data pipelines, a modern front-end toolbox, and secure software deployed on NGA networks (unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering and systems architecture experience.
• Experience with GEOINT products and geospatial libraries.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java and ETL/data ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with React/Angular/Vue for data visualization.
• CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and secure AWS/C2S deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of the GeoSURE system, ensuring scalability and DoD/IC compliance.
• Build and optimize automated pipelines for GEOINT data ingestion and IV&V metrics.
• Develop the GeoSURE Toolbox front-end with modern visualization tools and 3D/4D capabilities.
• Deploy software to NGA’s RLE and CORE environments with DevSecOps practices.
• Ensure SWAP compliance and obtain authorization to operate on IC networks.

Radiance is seeking a Senior Software & Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment ofGeospatial evaluation software. This initiative aims to build a scalable, repeatable, and trustworthy Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) framework for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) commercial and R&D GEOINT products (including imagery, geospatial data, 3D GEOINT, and mapping products).

In this role, you will transition manual, large-scale evaluation efforts into an automated, centralized enterprise system. You will design data pipelines, build a modern front-end visualization toolbox, and deploy secure software across NGA’s unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI networks.

Salary : $150K-175K

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design:Lead the architectural design of the GeoSURE system, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and compliance with DoD/IC standards.
• Pipeline Development:Build and optimize robust, automated pipelines for:
• GEOINT Data Ingestion:Integrating diverse data sources such as GRiD, NCL, and GEGD.
• IV&V Metrics Ingest:Creating a unified pipeline to ingest, validate, and assess data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
• Data Outputs & Storage:Designing secure, efficient storage architectures optimized for metadata tagging, fast retrieval, and long-term archival.
• UI & Toolbox Development:Develop theGeoSURE Toolbox, an intuitive, user-centric front-end interface featuring modern visualization tools, 3D/4D rendering, and advanced geospatial/temporal analysis capabilities.
• Secure DevSecOps Deployment:Establish automated scripts and configuration processes to deploy the GeoSURE baseline and its enhancements to NGA’s Research Lab Environment (RLE) and Common Operations Release Environment (CORE).
• Security Compliance:Ensure all software packages adhere to Software Assurance and Protection (SWAP) requirements, including rigorous code scanning, vulnerability mitigation, and obtaining authorization to operate (ATO) on IC networks.

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance:Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
• Experience:7+ years of professional software engineering and systems architecture experience, preferably supporting NGA or the broader Intelligence Community (IC).
• Geospatial Expertise:Proven experience working with GEOINT products (imagery, vector data, 3D tiles, or mapping products) and geospatial libraries (e.g., GDAL, PDAL, Leaflet, Cesium, or Esri APIs).
• Backend & Pipeline Engineering:Strong proficiency in languages like Python, Go, or Java, with experience building ETL/data ingestion pipelines and integrating with enterprise databases.
• Front-End Development:Experience building modern, interactive web applications (React, Vue, or Angular) to support data visualization and user workflows.
• DevSecOps & Cloud:Hands‑on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deploying software within secure AWS/C2S cloud environments.
• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with NGA systems and data repositories (GRiD, NSG Consolidated Library (NCL), or Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (GEGD))
• CI Poly
• Familiarity with NGA’s Common Operations Release Environment (CORE) and RLE deployment frameworks.
• Experience navigating the SWAP (Software Assurance and Protection) approval process and IC security compliance.
• Experience with advanced geospatial analysis, 3D/4D data rendering, or time-series analysis.
