Job summary

biBerk is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead our in-house insurance management system engineering teams. You will own delivery outcomes across multiple agile teams, provide architectural leadership, and partner with business leaders to align technology roadmaps.

This hybrid remote role requires onsite presence in Pittston, PA at least twice monthly, with preference for candidates near the BHDIC office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of software development experience.
• 10+ years in engineering leadership overseeing delivery and architecture.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (insurance, healthcare, finance, etc.).
• Strong cloud-based enterprise systems background and architecture review ability.
• Outstanding communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee software engineering operations across multiple delivery teams.
• Establish goals, metrics, and delivery expectations for autonomous teams.
• Own delivery outcomes across initiatives with predictable execution.
• Provide architectural and technical leadership, manage debt, align with enterprise standards.
• Mentor engineers, technical leads, and people managers to build leadership pipelines.
• Partner with business and product leaders to translate strategy into roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement using Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and Lean practices.
