Job summary

Power3 Solutions is seeking a Software Data Engineer 4 (Enterprise Infrastructure) in Laurel, MD to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems for enterprise infrastructure. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and hands-on experience with Linux, Python, and cloud platforms such as OpenStack.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, implement robust solutions, and ensure system reliability while adhering to government standards.

Qualifications

• Eight years of demonstrated software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
• Six years with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years with a PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Open Stack and other comparable platforms.
• Strong Linux and Python background.
• Understanding of IT management and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the environment.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and discussing with users or engineers.
