Job summary

Themis Insight is seeking a Software Data Engineer 4 (Enterprise Infrastructure) in Laurel, MD. This role develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems, reviews components, and applies appropriate design methodologies.

You will influence system design with input on COTS/GOTS usage and analyze performance against requirements. Ideal candidates bring strong Linux/Python skills, cloud infrastructure experience, and a track record of software development.

Qualifications

Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
Six (6) years of experience in Software Engineering with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
Three (3) years of experience in Software Engineering with a PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and other comparable platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the environment.
Provide input to system design including the use of COTS/GOTS where applicable.
