Job summary

Lifecycle Corporation in Laurel, MS seeks an Enterprise Infrastructure Software Data Engineer. This full‑time role develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems; reviews requirements; tests components; and supports COTS/GOTS in system design.

Requirements: TS/SCI with polygraph; 8+ years in software engineering (BS) or 6+ with MS, or 3+ with PhD; strong Linux and Python; cloud infra (OpenStack); excellent communication. Certifications such as AWS or Azure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university OR Six (6) years of experience in Software Engineering with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university OR Three (3) years of experience in Software Engineering with a PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Open Stack and other comparable platforms
• Strong Linux and Python background
• Understanding of IT management and operations
• Excellent oral, written, organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results
• Provide input to system design for use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance and usage
• Investigate problem areas and collaborate with users and engineers
