Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of software and/or data engineering with Spark and Airflow.
• Advanced SQL skills for large datasets.
• Experience building APIs and robust backend services in Python/Java/Scala.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and build APIs and backend services using Scala and Java to support financial automation and data products.
• Write clean, maintainable code with thorough reviews.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines with Spark and Airflow.
• Monitor, troubleshoot data systems to maximise reliability and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
