Job summary

Netsmart seeks a senior software architect to lead large product engagements and shape architectural direction across platforms. You will gather requirements, define roadmaps, and guide teams from concept to launch.

Effective communication with clients and stakeholders, adherence to security/compliance, and mentoring of engineers are required. Agile experience and multi-environment systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/MIS required.
• Min 4 years software development experience.
• At least 4 years with Agile full lifecycle and technical leadership.
• Ability to guide complex projects from concept to launch.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge to clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of business operations, terminology, and communication standards.
• Experience with capacity and performance analysis of complex systems.
• Experience in heterogeneous environments (Windows .Net, Linux/Unix, AS400, Mainframe).
• Knowledge of database architecture including Relational models and major DB platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, MySQL).
• Knowledge of physical, virtual, and cloud deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver large product/solution engagements while balancing priorities, workloads, and client commitments.
• Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
• Lead analysis, design and development of a cohesive roadmap and implementation plan.
• Participate in architecture governance and ensure standardization, consolidation, and security.
• Research emerging technology to assist project development and operations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate the solution roadmap and plan.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.
• Availability may extend beyond business hours for on-call rotations.
