Job summary

The candidate will collaborate with engineering directors and product leads to define strategies, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality software delivery. Hybrid work is supported, with some on-site days as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
• 4+ years programming experience in object-oriented languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, or Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical roadmap and architecture for a product area or infrastructure domain.
• Design highly complex, multi-tier distributed systems and decide on synchronous vs asynchronous patterns.
• Identify and execute large-scale cross-functional initiatives to improve productivity, reliability, or cost.
• Define technical strategies with engineering directors and cross-functional leads.
• Learn to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive consensus across teams.
• Scale distributed applications with architectural trade-offs and fast delivery.
• Develop 24x7 user-centric apps that are reliable and maintainable.
• Produce high quality software that is unit tested and code reviewed.
• Provide technical leadership to initiate, plan, and execute large programs.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
