Job summary

PNC invites applications for a Senior Software Architect in the Lending organization. Based in Pittsburgh, Dallas, or Birmingham, the role leads architecture reviews and translates strategy into delivery-ready designs for complex initiatives.

You will partner with business and technology teams to define scope, document architecture artifacts, and ensure governance across API, data flows, and integration patterns.

Qualifications

• Translate business goals into functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define solution boundaries, assumptions, and scope.
• Produce designs aligned with architecture principles and standards.
• Prepare solutions for architecture council reviews and compliance assessments.
• Create and maintain architecture deliverables using approved templates.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design and architecture reviews for software development initiatives.
• Perform upfront analysis and architecture-focused design activities.
• Translate architectural direction into detailed designs for delivery teams.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and governance requirements.

• Identify requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
• Support architecture governance and review processes.
• Create and maintain required architecture artifacts and documentation.
