Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Software Architect to guide high-level design and oversee modernization of legacy systems. The role requires coordinating across teams, implementing solutions, and developing tax processing components.

Hybrid work arrangement with on-site requirements in Albany or Manhattan after initial week. The candidate will lead design decisions, drive integration efforts, and mentor junior staff while ensuring production support and testing activities are performed

Qualifications

• 84 months with Government Taxation systems including design and end-user support.
• 84 months designing processes with WebSphere/IBM CP4BA/CP4I.
• 84 months in business rules architecture and portable runtime engines.
• 84 months with J2EE tech including JMS, Spring, BPEL, SCA/SDO.
• 84 months in multi-tier transactional system analysis and docs.
• 36 months with IBM OpenShift and microservices.
• 84 months in IBM MQ Series and CP4I MQ.
• 84 months in IBM DB2 data modeling and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Guiding the technical design for modernization of legacy systems.
• Coordinating technical solutions among support groups.
• Making changes in multiple systems in real time per user requests.
• Implementing technical solutions across stacks.
• Developing tax processing system components and maintaining processing systems.
• Supporting production tasks including issue analysis and defect resolution.
• Coordinating with development teams on activities and integration testing.
• Developing technical design documents and program specifications.
• Guiding requirements gathering sessions.
• Guiding analysis of requirements and system design work.
• Coding and unit/integration testing.
• Writing and tuning SQL.
• Supporting user testing efforts.
• Performance tuning applications.
• Mentoring less experienced staff.
