Foundation Software in Strongsville, OH is seeking a Principal Software Architect to lead our Architecture team and shape the technical direction of our platform. You will mentor architects and senior engineers while delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

Work with the VP of Architecture to define roadmaps, guide reviews, and establish engineering standards. The role blends hands-on design with strategic leadership across cloud, APIs, and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

12+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise applications.
5+ years of software architecture experience.
Experience mentoring architects and senior engineers.
Deep expertise in modern application architecture, cloud technologies, and design patterns.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the Software Architecture team.
Partner with executive leadership on architectural strategy and roadmaps.
Guide solution architecture across cloud, desktop, APIs, and modernization initiatives.
Lead architecture reviews and establish engineering standards.
Mentor architects and senior developers.
Promote scalable, secure, cloud-native design.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Security, Infrastructure, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
