Job summary

SciTec seeks a senior software architect to define and own the architecture strategy for high-visibility programs. You will lead scalable, secure system design, governance, and documentation, collaborating with stakeholders to translate evolving requirements into concrete architecture decisions.

With 12+ years in software systems and 5+ years Kubernetes, you will influence MOSA-based designs while traveling up to 15% for program reviews and customer engagements. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, or related field
• 12+ years of software systems development experience; 8+ years in MOSA system design
• 5+ years with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of modern software design patterns and anti-patterns
• Experience with parallelization techniques (GPUs, FaaS, multi-threading)
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Define and own software architecture strategy and standards for a high-visibility program
• Lead design of a scalable, secure, resilient system and governance processes
• Identify risks, dependencies, and technical debt; manage SLDC concerns
• Collaborate on product roadmaps with senior decision makers
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate architecture decisions
• Interface with stakeholders at technical reviews to explain architecture
