Job summary

Step Up For Students is seeking a Software Architect to lead enterprise software design and implementation across multiple teams. You will provide hands-on architectural leadership to create scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business goals.

Working with cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll enforce SDLC practices, architecture standards, and security requirements while promoting modern patterns, service-oriented design, and modular development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership and software development experience.
• 2+ years of software architecture roles.
• Experience with hosting infrastructures (cloud/traditional).
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud deployment and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute software solutions addressing business and non-functional requirements.
• Provide architectural blueprints and hands-on mentoring.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC, architecture standards, security, and privacy.
• Promote modern architectural patterns and modular development.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and facilitate JAD sessions.
