Job summary

Aether Aerospace, a Defense Technology platform, seeks a Software Architect IV to provide expert‑level architectural oversight for new and enhanced software products. Remote, full‑time role focusing on scalable architecture and alignment with business and security requirements.

You will collaborate with product teams to ensure feature completeness, system scalability, and seamless integration across components, while leading research initiatives and defining architectural objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in software architecture.
• Emerging authority in scalable, high‑performance software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment methods.
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven ability to craft technical solutions while addressing architectural challenges.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural and strategic oversight for software projects.
• Define and articulate the architectural vision and explore design alternatives.
• Develop models, specifications, and interfaces for scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure performance and integration.
• Lead integration of components across teams for cohesive solutions.
• Offer expert technical guidance across departments and initiatives.
• Lead research planning to improve software efficiency and reliability.
• Develop complex technical solutions with latitude in architecture decisions.
• Prototype, benchmark, and validate architectural choices.
• Ensure architecture aligns with security, compliance, and business goals.
• Support operational strategies to optimize processes and quality.
• Record and track planned hours and progress.
• Identify opportunities for growth within the team and program.
• Contribute to growth efforts and fulfill contract requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients within your program.
• Complete PDPs and attend company meetings with camera on.
• Meet all contract deliverables and client satisfaction targets.
