Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a senior software architect to design and drive high-performance, secure, multi-tenant systems in AWS. The role focuses on low-latency architectures, auditability, and scalable RESTful APIs.

You will mentor teams, publish architecture decisions, and collaborate across regions, including the US and Latin America. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with 8+ years in software development and 3+ years in architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, incl. 3+ years architecture-focused
• Deep experience designing low-latency AWS service architectures
• Experience with latency budgets and durable commits in hot paths
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems with versioned models
• Experience with secure multi-tenant architectures
• Strong PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and RLS knowledge
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience integrating SDKs with other services
• Proven architectural leadership, mentoring, and architecture reviews
• Ability to coordinate with US business hours

Responsibilities

• Design low-latency, scalable architectures in AWS for multi-tenant environments
• Define and enforce architectural standards and ADRs
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams
• Develop secure, auditable data models with RLS and versioning
• Build and oversee RESTful APIs and SDK integrations
