Job summary

IU Health Fishers Hospital is seeking a Social Worker - MSW LCSW Senior to provide advanced clinical services, lead complex discharge planning, crisis intervention, and mental health assessment. The role includes supervising social workers pursuing LCSW licensure and serving as a field instructor for students.

The position requires collaboration with hospital administrators, medical teams, and community partners to ensure safe, timely, and well‑coordinated care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work is required.
• Permanent LCSW licensure is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in child welfare, mental health/addictions, health, school, or community work.
• Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention or de-escalation training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients and families face-to-face.
• Precept and develop educational materials for team members, patients, and families.
• Provide clinical supervision for social workers pursuing LCSW licensure.
• Serve as field instructor for social work students.
• Collaborate with hospital administrators and medical teams to improve quality and processes.
• Act as a resource and role model for students and social workers.
