Job summary

Bladen County is seeking an advanced social work professional to provide services in serious and complex cases requiring a broad range of social work skills. The role involves safeguarding client welfare, performing home visits, and coordinating with multiple agencies to access needed services.

The worker will handle intake procedures, prepare care plans, and conduct case audits while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with legal standards.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work or equivalent.
• One year of human services experience in case management, assessment and referral, supportive counseling, intervention, psychosocial therapy and treatment planning (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional social services to clients in assigned programs (child protective, adult services, foster/adopt).
• Manage caseloads and maintain accurate case records.
• Assess client needs and develop/monitor care plans; adjust as needed.
• Refer clients to other divisions and outside agencies; assist access to services.
• Conduct home visits to assess progress and ensure care is provided.
