Job summary

The Moore County Social Services department is seeking a Social Worker I to provide support to agency clients with personal, social and economic needs. You will assess needs, develop service plans, manage cases, maintain records, prepare reports, and coordinate transportation and placement services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work OR Bachelor’s degree in social work with Child Welfare Collaborative.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work with one year directly related experience.
• Master’s degree in human services with one year related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services with two years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and three years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of social work principles and practices for complex casework and community problems.
• Thorough knowledge of medical, behavioral, psychosocial, and socioeconomic problems and their treatment.
• Ability to plan and organize work and interpret laws, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and social agencies.
