Senior Social Worker — Adult Protective Services

Job summary

The State of Nevada's Aging and Disability Services Division in Las Vegas is recruiting a Social Worker III to support Adult Protective Services. You will investigate abuse, neglect, exploitation, and isolation of vulnerable adults, initiating timely assessments and coordinating services to ensure client safety.

Under limited supervision, you will conduct home visits, develop case plans, liaison with multiple agencies, and provide crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker and one year of professional case management experience.
• Experience in child protective services, foster care or adoption services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess client functioning by interviewing clients, family and community contacts.
• Develop and implement a case plan with intervention strategies and services.
• Coordinate services with state agencies, community organizations and private providers.
• Provide ongoing case management with home visits, monitoring and reassessment.
• Organize MDT meetings to plan protective services and coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention and report neglect or abuse as required.
