Job summary

State of Nevada’s Aging and Disability Services Division seeks a Social Worker III in Las Vegas to perform advanced case management in Adult Protective Services. The role involves investigating abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults; initiating timely interventions; and coordinating services across agencies with a person-centered approach.

The incumbent conducts home visits, assesses needs, develops case plans, and may supervise staff while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have licensure or provisional licensure as Social Worker and one year of professional experience in case management for child protective services, foster care and/or adoption.
• Ability to assess and reassess client functioning, interview clients and collaterals, review records and coordinate services.
• Proven crisis intervention skills and ability to work under limited supervision in protective services.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced journey level case management in APS and related programs.
• Initiate timely case investigations, conduct home visits and assess client needs.
• Develop and implement case plans with intervention strategies and service referrals.
• Coordinate services with state agencies, community organizations and providers.
• Provide crisis intervention and lead or train staff as needed.
• Prepare case histories, reports and maintain documentation per policy.
