$120,002.00/yr - $156,009.00/yr
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which offers student loan repayment. Eligibility requirements apply, and applications must be submitted within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (1-5 years) are determined after review.
The Senior Social Worker manages a caseload of Veterans in the HUD-VASH program, working with a multidisciplinary team to help Veterans secure and maintain housing. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, maintaining documentation, and possibly submitting paperwork for psychiatric holds if certified. The role may include supervising other social workers and providing clinical leadership and training.
Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, or as determined by the supervisor.
Applicants must have a master's degree in social work from an accredited school, be licensed or certified to practice independently, and meet experience and certification requirements for the GS-12 level. Demonstrated skills include advanced psychosocial interventions, differential diagnosis, program evaluation, and consultation.
Some walking, standing, bending, and transportation of veterans are required. Must pass a driver's physical exam.
