Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Social Services Director to oversee the Social Services department and ensure residents' emotional, social, and psychosocial needs are met in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The role focuses on assessing needs, developing care plans, and coordinating with medical staff and community organizations to support residents and their families. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Two years of job-related experience, preferably in long-term care.
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
Experience with social work, preferably working directly with patients and their family members at a nursing facility.
Detail oriented, computer literate and possesses excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct the Social Services Department, identifying and providing for residents' social, emotional, and psychological needs.
Assess, document and provide interventions to meet psychosocial needs of all residents.
Develop care plans based on assessments.
Maintain a quality working relationship with the medical profession and other health related facilities and organizations.
