Job summary

Pascua Yaqui Tribe is seeking a Social Worker II to conduct comprehensive assessments, provide counseling, and coordinate services across tribal departments and external agencies. The role emphasizes advocacy, case planning, and collaboration with families and professionals to secure optimal client outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining case files, delivering supportive services, and participating in trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field and three years of social work experience; or an equivalent combination.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; experience with Native American population preferred.
• Must obtain Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card; valid AZ driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessment interviews to evaluate background and develop case plans.
• Maintain regular client contact via visits, phone, or site visits with involved agencies.
• Maintain and update client files with documentation; report status and progress.
• Provide and arrange supportive social services and referrals; advocate for clients' rights.
• Provide counseling services with clients and family members.
• Collaborate with a team of caseworkers, families, foster parents, and medical staff.
• Coordinate care with Tribal departments, clinics, or external agencies.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and conferences as assigned.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature as requested by supervisor or director.
