Job summary

Pala Band of Mission Indians seeks a Social Worker to deliver direct support and services within Social Services. The role includes assessment, intervention, case management, and field/office work, while maintaining confidential records and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities cover supervision of staff, development of culturally appropriate service plans, and coordination with courts and community partners to promote family stability and safety within tribal programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, child welfare and behavioral health.
• Ability to work independently with teamwork.
• Maintain confidentiality and use data systems for documentation.
• Endorsement of Tribal cultural values and family preservation goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services and maintain accurate records and files.
• Provide assessment and intervention/referral services, including preparing letters and documents.
• Provide supervised visitation services for family support and child welfare services.
• Provide psychoeducational information and materials to promote healthy parenting styles.
• Prepare court reports and attend court hearings.
• Grant reporting and related activities.
• Maintain client safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with tribal partners to align with Native cultural values.
• Supervise and assist other social workers and caseworkers as needed.
