Job description

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. with some of the best and brightest people in the business!

FleetPride is seeking a hands‑on Senior Social Media Specialist to own our organic social program and turn the expertise of our employees, technicians, branches, customers, and supplier partners into useful, platform-native content. This individual contributor will manage the end-to-end social content pipeline and calendar, oversee FleetPride's established Facebook presence, and build audience and engagement on Instagram, TikTok, and other channels as priorities evolve.

FleetPride has an exceptional source of stories across more than 400 locations and 5,000 team members. This role will build the repeatable system to find those stories, shape them for each platform, publish consistently, engage the community, and use performance data to improve the work.

This position is on‑site Monday‑Thursday at FleetPride's corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas, relocating to Plano, Texas in summer 2027.

This is an individual contributor role that works closely with Creative, Digital Content, Brand, Performance Media, Recruiting, Communications, Product, and field team.

Responsibilities
  • Social Program Ownership: Own the organic social strategy and day‑to‑day execution across Facebook and Instagram. Oversee expansion into channels such as TikTok, Reddit, and X based on audience needs, performance and business priorities.
  • Content Pipeline and Calendar: Manage the workflow from idea intake through approvals, scheduling, publishing, asset storage, and reuse. Maintain a clear social calendar aligned with campaigns, seasonal priorities, events, recruiting, and local market opportunities.
  • Channel Growth: Grow FleetPride's existing Facebook following while testing platform‑specific programs for Instagram and TikTok. Recommend when to test, scale, pause, or add channels based on audience fit and measurable results.
  • Hands‑On Content Creation: Write and edit social copy, create graphics in Canva and make fast, on‑brand adaptations for each platform and format.
  • Short‑Form Video: Plan, capture, edit, and publish social‑first video featuring FleetPride employees, technicians, customers, trucks, products, and service expertise. Turn longer footage and field submissions into strong hooks, captions, Reels, TikToks, Shorts, and cutdowns.
  • Community and Reputation Management: Monitor comments, direct messages, reviews, mentions, and relevant industry conversations. Respond in FleetPride's voice, route customer issues promptly, and maintain moderation, escalation, and crisis‑response guidelines.
  • Field Content Network: Build practical relationships with branches, service centers, technicians, recruiters, and other employee contributors. Provide prompts, capture guides, release processes, and feedback that make authentic field content easier to collect and use.
  • Platform‑Specific Planning: Shift the content mix toward useful heavy‑duty knowledge, people and culture, and entertaining industry content while keeping product and promotional posts focused. Adapt the same campaign idea to the behavior and format of each channel rather than reposting identical creative.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Create weekly performance checks and clear monthly reporting across reach, engagement rate, follower growth, shares, saves, watch time, completion rate, sentiment, clicks, website actions, and career interest. Use native analytics, social management tools, GA4, and consistent UTM tracking to connect social activity to business outcomes.
  • Testing and Optimization: Run structured tests of formats, hooks, creative, captions, posting times, calls to action, and community tactics. Turn results into specific changes to the calendar, channel strategy, and content briefs.
  • Governance and Brand Safety: Maintain account access, publishing permissions, local page standards, naming conventions, approval paths, rights and release documentation, accessibility practices, and response protocols across FleetPride's social presence.
  • Cross‑Functional Campaign Support: Partner with Creative and Digital Content team members on assets and storytelling, with Performance Media on paid amplification, and with Brand, Recruiting, Communications, suppliers, and field teams on launches, events, employer brand, and co‑op programs.
Qualifications & experience
  • 5 to 7 years of professional social media experience managing organic programs for a brand, agency, publisher, or multi‑location organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong writing and editing, platform‑native creative, short‑form video, community engagement, and measurable audience or performance growth, including the ability to turn technical product or service information into useful social content.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, plus working knowledge of LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, X, or other relevant channels.
  • Proven ability to independently own a high‑volume content calendar and production workflow while balancing planned campaigns, evergreen content, field submissions, and timely opportunities.
  • Self‑sufficient graphic production skills in Canva and Adobe Photoshop, including the ability to adapt approved design systems and templates without day‑to‑day designer support.
  • Working knowledge of mobile photography, short‑form video production, captioning, and basic editing in tools such as CapCut, Canva Video, or Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
  • Experience with social analytics and reporting tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, or similar platforms, plus familiarity with GA4 and UTM tracking.
  • Experience with community management, social listening, sentiment, reputation response, moderation, and escalation processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in ecommerce, retail, distribution, automotive, heavy‑duty, or industrial businesses.
  • Experience building employee advocacy, field contributor, creator, customer story, or influencer programs across a distributed organization.
  • Experience governing a network of national and local social and maps listings pages, including access, brand standards, reviews, and customer‑service escalation using enterprise local listing platforms like SOCi, RIOSeo, Yext, etc.
  • Comfort interviewing subject matter experts and coaching employees to appear naturally on camera.
