The Opportunity

We're seeking a results-driven Senior Social Media Manager to strategically lead our digital storytelling and social media operations. The ideal candidate will combine creative storytelling, data-driven insights, and strategic audience development expertise. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies across all platforms, creating compelling, platform-optimized multimedia content that drives engagement. You'll design and implement audience growth initiatives with measurable KPIs, continuously analyzing performance metrics to refine content and engagement strategies. This position requires managing and mentoring a social media team, establishing best practices and creative standards, while collaborating closely with marketing, brand, and creative teams to ensure cohesive messaging. The successful candidate will track and report on social media performance and audience insights, bringing a strategic and creative approach to our digital communication efforts.

This role reports to the Director of Content & Brand, and is a hybrid role with three days a week onsite at our office in Midtown Manhattan.

What You’ll Own

Social:

  • Launch new strategic social channels to expand our digital footprint - such as TikTok, Facebook, YouTube & X
  • Develop and implement data-driven social media strategies across all social platforms
  • Create and oversee performance-driven social media campaigns aligned with marketing initiatives
  • Analyze social media metrics and use insights to optimize content and strategies
  • Stay current with social media trends and best practices, including the use of AI
  • Mentor and lead a team of freelance and full-time employees
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cohesive social media content
  • Set specific objectives and report monthly on social media initiatives
Your Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years in social media experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media Production or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven success in launching, growing, and managing major social media channels
  • Proficiency in social media management and strategy, particularly for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, platform-specific content
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Creative storytelling abilities and a keen eye for engaging, shareable content
  • Owns challenges and drives solutions with confidence
  • Communicates directly and effectively and pursues the truth, even in difficult moments
  • Is motivated and driven by ambitious goals
  • Adapts quickly, taking on various responsibilities with enthusiasm
