24 Seven Talent's media client seeks a Senior Social Media Manager to grow the digital audience across priority platforms, turning editorial work into platform-native content and connecting social activity to traffic, newsletters, and subscriptions.

The role requires strong editorial judgment, a deep understanding of the political and media landscape, and a proven track record of building audiences in a fast-paced publishing environment.

• 5+ years in social media, audience development, or digital publishing.
• Proven ability to translate editorial work into platform-native content.
• Experience in news/media/politics environments.
• Strong writing, editing, and headline-writing skills.
• Comfort analyzing performance data to drive decisions.
• Ability to prioritise deadlines and coordinate across teams.

• Develop and lead organic social media strategy across priority platforms.
• Translate journalism, analysis, podcasts, video, and newsletters into timely, high-performing social content.
• Create clear pathways from social platforms to websites, newsletters, podcasts, and subscriptions.
• Partner with editorial and growth teams to align social programming with audience acquisition, conversion, and retention goals.
• Manage daily publishing calendars, platform-specific messaging, community engagement, and breaking-news coverage.
• Identify opportunities for short-form video, graphics, clips, live coverage, and other social-first formats.
• Monitor platform trends, algorithm changes, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs related to reach, engagement, referral traffic, newsletter acquisition, and subscription conversion.
• Use analytics and testing to optimize content formats, headlines, posting cadence, calls to action, and audience targeting.
• Help maintain editorial standards, voice, and brand integrity across all social channels.
• Collaborate with paid media partners to identify opportunities for organic and paid social efforts to reinforce one another.
