Job summary

CMG seeks a Senior Manager of Social Media and Audience Growth to shape and execute CMG's enterprise social media strategy across major platforms.

This role drives audience growth, engagement, content distribution, and platform innovation, partnering with CMG Content Leaders, News Directors, Digital Leaders, Marketing Teams, Sales and on-air talent to maximize reach and monetization of CMG journalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in social media strategy, digital audience development, or digital content distribution.
• Proven track record of driving measurable social media growth and high-performing content.
• Strong editorial judgment and understanding of news values, journalism, and digital storytelling.
• Experience creating and optimizing short-form vertical video content and platform-native content strategies.
• Proven ability to use data and analytics to develop strategy, identify opportunities, and measure performance.
• Demonstrated ability to work across teams, influence stakeholders, and drive adoption of enterprise initiatives.
• Deep expertise in Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, including platform algorithms, audience behavior, analytics, trends, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of digital audience development, content distribution, referral strategy, and platform-native storytelling.

• Provide social platform expertise, audience insights, and recommendations to refine CMG's enterprise social media strategy.
• Establish platform-specific standards, best practices, and publishing guidelines.
• Partner with station leadership to align social efforts with audience, content, and business objectives.
• Identify emerging platforms, technologies, and audience opportunities.
