Job summary

The Millennium Challenge Corporation is seeking Senior Social Analysis Experts to support infrastructure sector programs under a multi-year MCC Social Analysis Due Diligence effort. You will lead social analysis, stakeholder engagement, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based recommendations for country programs.

Travel to MCC partner countries and coordination with MCC headquarters in Washington, DC are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as social science or development studies.
• “10+ years” of professional experience in international development or social analysis.
• Experience applying social science methods to infrastructure or development programs.
• Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research and stakeholder consultations.
• Ability to translate complex research into actionable recommendations for senior audiences.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing work across multiple technical areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead social, political economy, and contextual analyses to identify constraints to growth and program viability.
• Assess social risks and opportunities, and integrate findings into project design.
• Apply methodologies to analyze impacts on different populations and maximize broad-based benefits.
• Develop technical recommendations, budgets, and implementation inputs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure deliverables are coherent and timely.
• Provide quality control and oversight of reports and assessments.
