Job summary

WPP Media is seeking an Associate Director of Social Media Activation in the United States to lead strategic paid social initiatives and oversee a value-driven team. You will shape campaign direction, ensure QA, and mentor staff to deliver social programs aligned with client objectives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage large budgets, and engage senior stakeholders to drive performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years direct line-management experience.
• Proven ability to guide, mentor, and QA junior/mid-level staff.
• Hands-on experience with major paid social platforms and platform back-ends.
• Strong client-facing experience with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Delegate campaign strategy, forecasting, and measurement plans.
• Escalate and QA campaign launches and data integrity.
• Lead career development for Supervisors and Managers.
• Oversee team bandwidth and workload to prevent burnout.
• Act as primary activation lead for senior clients.
• Build relationships with media partners and internal teams.
• Drive workflow improvements across paid social.
• Identify new platform opportunities with cross-functional teams.
