Job summary

Second Front Systems is seeking a SOC Manager to lead security operations for cloud-native platforms and national-security focused software. You will architect threat intel operations, define detection frameworks, and drive incident response maturity across rapid-growth teams.

You will own the SOC strategy, build high-fidelity detection logic, and mentor a skilled security operations squad while coordinating with engineering and product to embed defenses into platform DNA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cyber operations, incident response, and threat intel.
• Experience building modern SOC functions and security controls.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, DoD SRG, and CMMC compliance.

Responsibilities

• Architect SOC strategy, threat intel ops, detection frameworks.
• Tune detection logic across cloud, identities, and endpoints.
• Own incident command for containment and recovery.
• Govern SIEM, EDR, and automated playbooks at scale.
• Establish proactive threat hunting programs with external intel.
• Synchronize controls with engineering and product squads.
• Mentor and scale security operations team; manage vendor relations.
• Lead post-mortems driving engineering changes.
